PIKE CREEK, Del. (AP) - Authorities are investigating what caused an abandoned New Castle County bowling alley to go up in flames over the weekend.

There were no reported injuries in connection with the early Sunday morning fire in Pike Creek.

Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office Chief Deputy Robert Fox says the bowling alley, which has been closed since 2009, was a total loss. Damage estimates exceed $500,000.
