LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles authorities say firefighters on the scene of a small brush fire discovered possible human remains down a steep ravine in Sherman Oaks.
Police Officer Mike Lopez said Sunday that coroner’s officials were called to the scene after fire crews found what appeared to be a skull.
The Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/2mg2yZU ) the blaze Saturday scorched about four acres of brush on a hillside behind a school.
Crews using water-dropping helicopters doused the flames quickly but remained on the scene Sunday to handle any remaining hot spots.
No injuries were reported.
