LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police say a man arrested after crashing a stolen car into a squad car and other vehicles was wanted on a felony warrant in another state.
Officer Liliana Preciado says when officers approached the car early Wednesday, the driver backed it up toward them, forcing one officer to jump out of the way.
The car then crashed into a police car and at least one other vehicle before speeding off. The suspect was arrested after crashing the car and running through a South LA neighborhood. He was bitten by a police dog and hospitalized in stable condition.
Preciado tells the Los Angeles Times (https://lat.ms/2lyBZzJ) that the man was driving a stolen car and was a wanted fugitive. There were no details about his out-of-state warrant.
No officers were injured.
