BUCKSPORT, Maine (AP) - Maine State Police say foul play is not suspected in the death of a Bucksport man.

Bucksport’s police chief says the body of a man was found along a dirt road Tuesday evening, and state police were asked to assist in the investigation.

Law enforcement officials say the body of 72-year-old Richard Newbegin was near his rental cabin.

It’s still unclear how Newbegin died. Police said Wednesday that autopsy results were pending the completion of further tests.
