PERRY, Ga. (AP) - A Georgia man has been indicted on multiple charges in the traffic death of a man during a police chase in Georgia.

The Telegraph reports 40-year-old Vernon Jerome Gibson was indicted on a total of 13 counts, including vehicular homicide, on Tuesday. The charges stem from an incident last November in which Gibson allegedly ran a traffic light while being chased by a Houston County deputy and struck two vehicles, before running away on foot. The broadsiding injured 66-year-old Bruce Snyder, who died nearly three weeks later.

Gibson was arrested two days after the Nov. 6 accident. He was on probation at the time after serving prison time for fleeing law enforcement in 2015.

It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
