UNDERWOOD, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 20-year-old man is dead after a car crash near Underwood.
Authorities say the man was a passenger in a Honda Accord that rolled on Highway 83 about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The patrol says the car was on its way from Minot to Bismarck when the driver became distracted by something in the vehicle. All three occupants were thrown from the car. None of them was wearing seat belts.
The 20-year-old man died at the scene. The 17-year-old boy who was driving and a 19-year-old woman who was a passenger were taken to a hospital. Their names were not released.
