NEW YORK (AP) - A man has died when he was hit by a subway train in Brooklyn.

The man was hit by a Manhattan-bound F train just after 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Jay Street-MetroTech station.

Police say it appears that the man jumped in front of the train. His name was not immediately released.

The F was rerouted over the G line while police investigated the death.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says normal F train service has resumed with delays.
