DELAND, Fla. (AP) - A Florida man and his 11-year-old grandson died in a crash that left another man critically injured.

The Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release that 73-year-old Joel Baker’s pickup truck was struck in an intersection near DeLand by a car traveling at a high rate of speed on Thursday night. The truck overturned and caught on fire.

The Camero that hit the truck also caught fire. The driver was taken to a hospital in Daytona Beach, where he is listed in critical condition.



The names of the child and the driver of the car haven’t been released.

An investigation continues.
