ODESSA, Texas (AP) - Three people have died and another four injured in a two-vehicle collision in West Texas that police say involved a drunken driver.

Odessa police spokesman Steve LeSueur says the wreck occurred Thursday evening when a speeding Dodge Challenger struck the back of a van.

Both vehicles caught on fire following the collision and the three people in the van died at the scene.

The four people in the Challenger were taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

LeSueur says investigators are determining whether to file a charge of intoxication manslaughter against the driver of the Dodge.
