WASHINGTON (AP) - Authorities in Washington say one person was killed and two people were hurt in a four-vehicle crash on the Anacostia Bridge.

WTOP quotes Metropolitan police as saying the crash occurred early Friday. Three cars were engulfed in flames that D.C. firefighters extinguished. One person was trapped by freed.

Police have not identified the victims, nor have they released more details on the crash.
