TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A driver suspected in a fatal hit-and-run collision in Tucson two weeks ago has been arrested.

Police say 23-year-old Andrew Ortiz was arrested after officers located the car that had fled the scene of the June 10 collision.

The victim, 30-year-old Rafiq Oulebsir, died a week later from his injuries.

Investigators say Oulebsir was struck as he walked across a roadway.

They say they determined that Ortiz was the person driving the car on the night of the collision.

Ortiz was booked on suspicion of failing to stop at a collision involving a death or serious physical injury.

It’s unclear whether Ortiz has yet been assigned an attorney.
