GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Officials say a U.S. Coast Guard aircraft made an emergency landing at an airport in Mississippi.
The Sun Herald reports the aircraft landed at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport on Tuesday. Clay Williams, director of the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, says the pilot reported smoke coming from the cockpit during the flight. Officials say the plane landed without incident.
Williams says there was no visible damage to the aircraft.
Gulfport police and fire officials with the Combat Readiness Training Center responded to the landing.
