ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Fairbanks police say officers have shot and killed an armed gunman.
In a brief statement, the department says officers on Monday morning encountered a man with a gun who “confronted the officers.”
The department says officers returned fire and the suspect died at the scene.
The department says more details will be released.
The name of the suspect was not immediately released.
