SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania vocational school teacher has been suspended and charged with molesting seven male students in class and elsewhere in the school.

Sixty-one-year-old Richard Humphrey has taught automotive classes at the Lackawanna County Career Technology Center in Scranton for two years. Last month, a boy told authorities he got grease on his pants and that Humphrey grabbed a rag but, rather than cleaning the stain, grabbed the boy’s private area.

After that, police say six more students came forward with similar complaints of being touched inappropriately.

Humphrey faces seven counts each of institutional sexual assault and corruption of minors. His defense attorney could not immediately be reached Thursday at a phone number listed in court records.

The school says officials are cooperating with police and suspended Humphrey after the allegations.
