LITCHFIELD, N.H. (AP) - Police are looking for a man wanted for leading officers on a chase in Litchfield, New Hampshire.

Police say the man was driving erratically at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday along the Charles Bancroft Highway. He didn’t stop when police tried to pull him over. Police later came across a crash site in which the car went off the road and down an embankment. The driver was missing.

Police said an officer saw a man at 4 a.m. Friday walking in the area of the crash. He was wearing shorts and waving a checkered shirt in an attempt to flag down drivers. The man ran into the woods when he saw the officer.



Litchfield police are seeking the public’s help on what happened.
