GOLDEN MEADOW, La. (AP) - Up to $1,000 in cash is being offered for information leading to the arrest of whoever’s responsible for damaging grave sites at a cemetery in Golden Meadow.

Chief of Police Reggie Pitre says the vandalism was reported about noon Sunday. When officers arrived, Pitre said Thursday in a news release, they found several grave stones and crosses had been knocked over and damaged. Police believe the incident occurred overnight on Friday, June 30. Witnesses told investigators they saw a young man in the cemetery that night.
