TWIN ROCKS, Pa. (AP) - State police say a motorist who struck and killed a man along a rural Pennsylvania road may not have realized they hit a human being.
That’s why police on Wednesday released surveillance video of the sport utility vehicle troopers suspect was involved in the death late Tuesday of 22-year-old Jacob Hale.
Police say the Mineral Point man was very drunk when he left a house party and was struck on Cardiff Road in Blacklick Township just before midnight. That’s just outside Nanty Glo, a tiny borough about 65 miles (104.6 kilometers) east of Pittsburgh.
Police say Hale was killed shortly before his female friend arrived to give him a lift.
The surveillance video and images police released Wednesday is from the Nanty Glo fire department and nearby businesses.
