Man hit and killed by bus while crossing the street

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say a man crossing the street has been hit and killed by a bus in a North Carolina city.

Durham police said the bus was turning left around 9:45 p.m. Monday when it hit 46-year-old Aaron Ryle as he walked across at an intersection.

Authorities say the bus driver and the one passenger on board were not hurt.

Police said in a news release that the accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
