NEW YORK (AP) - Police in New York City say a group of people have been injured after a van drove through a park.

Authorities say the van struck several pedestrians in a Queens park around 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Police say the van crashed into a pond before coming to a rest.

Police say six people, including the driver of the van, were hurt. Investigators say a 19-year-old woman who was in the crowd was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center with head trauma.

Police say charges against the man are pending.
