NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina man has died from a gunshot wound after he was found in a wrecked car.

Local media outlets reported that North Charleston officers were called to a shooting early Sunday morning and found a car that had crashed through the fence of a home.

Twenty-two-year-old McGill Cason of North Charleston was found on the ground next to the car. He was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston where he died shortly after 3 a.m.

It was not immediately clear whether Cason had been driving the car.

Police spokesman Spencer Pryor said Cason had left a party shortly before the shooting.

No arrests have been made.
