WESTBURY, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Long Island are investigating a crash involving a flatbed truck that killed a motorcyclist.

Newsday reports (https://nwsdy.li/2uAbRsv ) the crash happened in Westbury around 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say 20-year-old Nicholas Cartier, of East Farmingdale, drove through a red light before striking a flatbed truck.

Cartier was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.



Police say the 51-year-old driver of the flatbed was not injured in the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
