SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - The Spokane Police Department has identified the two officers who shot and killed a 53-year-old man earlier this month.
The Spokesman reports (https://bit.ly/2tKyJnZ ) Kelsey Scott and Caleb Martin are the officers who on July 3 shot Daniel Craven after responding to a domestic violence call.
Craven is accused of wrecking his ex-girlfriend’s garden in the front of her house while firing a gun. Responding officers reported hearing gunshots upon arrival.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office determined Craven died from multiple bullets fired by Scott and Martin. Police say a handgun was found near Craven’s body.
The officers were wearing body cameras and a team of authorities from multiple departments is continuing the investigation.
