JOPLIN, Mo. (AP) - Authorities say a suspected drunken driver has died from injuries sustained in a head-on southwest Missouri crash that killed three others.

The Springfield News-Leader (https://sgfnow.co/2u0UMeo ) reports that 17-year-old McKay Harris, of Neosho, was pronounced dead Friday at a Springfield Hospital. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Harris was driving a sport utility vehicle that crossed the center line and struck a car at 1:20 a.m. on July 4 in Newton County.

Harris’ 18-year-old passenger, Alex Ashlin, of Neosho, was pronounced dead at the scene. Also killed was the driver of the car, 32-year-old Ronni Ducommun, of Wentzville, and his mother, 67-year-old Janet Ducommun, of Neosho.



The patrol’s online arrest report says Harris was suspected of committing several crimes, including driving while intoxicated and being a minor in possession of alcohol.
