MOUNT PLEASANT, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a child in northern Arkansas was injured after he was struck by a vehicle while walking to his school bus.
The Izard County Sheriff’s Office says the boy was walking to his bus Thursday morning when he was struck by a vehicle on U.S. 69 in Mount Pleasant, about 90 miles northeast of Little Rock.
Authorities say the boy was flown to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock after the collision. The sheriff’s office says the boy is in stable condition.
The collision is under investigation.
