AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a man wearing dark clothing and walking on Bobby Jones Expressway in Augusta has been struck by a car and killed.

The Augusta Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/2iyrV96 ) that the collision happened around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Richmond Count Coroner Mark Bowen said the unidentified victim was walking eastbound in a darkened stretch of the highway when he was hit by an eastbound 2003 Honda Accord.



Few other details were immediately available early Tuesday.
