Police: Man walks into hospital with gunshot wound

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound walked into a hospital.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports the wounded man walked into the Tulane Medical Center on Monday.

Police say it was not immediately clear where the shooting happened. However, police spokeswoman Ambria Washington says police believe the man was shot somewhere in the department’s 8th District.

A preliminary police report states that the man underwent surgery. His condition hasn’t been reported.
