NEW YORK (AP) - Police and fire officials say a couple has died and their 17-year-old daughter is in stable condition after fire erupted in a Brooklyn home.
Firefighters answered a 911 call around 4 a.m. Monday to the single-family house in the Borough Park neighborhood.
Deputy Fire Chief Russ Regan tells WCBS the fire was rapidly spreading when rescuers arrived.
Police identified the fatal victims as 61-year-old Howard Gluck and 59-year-old Evelyn Gluck. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The fire was contained inside the house and neighboring buildings were spared.
