LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Police in Kentucky are searching for a man who they say shot and killed another man.
Fayette County coroner Gary Ginn tells local news outlets that early Thursday morning Lexington police officers responded to a shooting in a mobile home and found blood on the scene. Police couldn’t find the victim at first, but later discovered the body of a 25-year-old man inside a vehicle on another street.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Adan Perez Mejia.
Police are seeking 41-year-old David K. Trent in connection with the death. Lt. Andrew Daughtery says police believe Trent shot the victim in the face.
Police say in a statement that witnesses had identified Trent as the shooter.
