PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A neighbor’s report of a foul odor led police to find more than 100 marijuana plants growing in a Philadelphia home.

Officers and a hazardous material team descended on the home on Cedar Avenue on Monday afternoon. Some nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution.

Police say there were extension cords throughout the home and “one spark could take this whole block down.”

Police say there was everything from full grown plants to seedlings and some of the crop was packaged.

The resident, whose name was not released, faces drug and reckless endangerment charges.
