PETERBOROUGH, N.H. (AP) - In a story Aug. 13 about the MacDowell Colony, The Associated Press reported erroneously the day of the colony’s annual Medal Day. It was Sunday, not Saturday.
A corrected version of the story is below:
MacDowell Colony open to public for annual Medal Day
A renowned artists’ colony in New Hampshire is open to the public for its annual Medal Day
PETERBOROUGH, N.H. (AP) - A renowned artists’ colony in New Hampshire was open to the public for its annual Medal Day.
The MacDowell Colony in Peterborough allows the public to visit just one day a year. On Sunday, guests could enjoy picnic lunches on the property and attend open studios hosted by MacDowell artists-in-residence.
Also on Sunday, the colony awarded the 58th annual Edward MacDowell Medal in the Arts to filmmaker David Lynch, though he did not attend the ceremony.
