RENTON, Wash. (AP) - Officials closed a dog park in western Washington state due to a contagious viral illness that causes vomiting and diarrhea in dogs.
KING-TV reports (https://kng5.tv/2vxfEIo) that King County officials on Friday closed Cedar River dog park in Renton due to a canine parvovirus outbreak.
Officials say the park will be closed for two weeks so workers can treat surfaces.
Officials say a dog with parvovirus likely visited the park recently.
