NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Authorities are searching for a man accused of robbing a woman at a Louisiana church.
News outlets report that the man robbed the woman at Love Lutheran Church on Thursday around 9:30 a.m. The woman is a part-time employee at the church.
The church’s council president, Louis Sanders, says the woman was emptying trash when a man got out of a car and asked the woman for gas money. New Orleans police said in a news release that the man reached into her pockets, took her cash and fled. Sanders says the victim was shaken but is doing better.
Police have released surveillance images of the theft.
