PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police are investigating after and older man was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing one of Philadelphia’s busiest roads.

Police haven’t released the name of the 69-year-old man, but say he wasn’t in a crosswalk when he was hit about 1:20 p.m. Sunday on Roosevelt Boulevard.

Police haven’t said whether the driver will be cited or charged.

Neighbors says the road is dangerous with signs saying so where the man crossed, which more than 100 yards away from the nearest crosswalk.
