PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police have released video showing a man who stole the purse from an 81-year-old woman getting off a transit bus in broad daylight.
Police released the video Wednesday on their YouTube channel in hopes someone will recognize the suspect, a black man who appears to be in his 20s with a light beard, a dark jacket and faded jeans.
Police say the suspect got out of a car and accosted the woman about 3:15 p.m. March 20, then punched her in the face and knocked her to the ground before grabbing her purse.
The suspect then hopped back in the car, which was driven away by someone else.
Police say the victim suffered only minor injuries.
