CHESHIRE, Mass. (AP) - State police say a 19-year-old man was killed and four other people were injured in an early morning single-vehicle crash in Berkshire County.
Police say the car left the road, struck some trees and rolled onto its roof in Cheshire just before 1 a.m. Friday.
Passenger Robert Pearson, of Dalton, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. The 19-year-old male driver from Adams, as well as 22- and 30-year-old men and a 19-year-old woman, all from North Adams, were injured.
The names of the injured were not released.
Police tell masslive.com that neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected to have played a role.
The crash remains under investigation.
