POINT PLEASANT, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a 6-year-old boy was injured when a float ran over him during a Halloween parade staged in a Jersey shore town.
Point Pleasant police say the boy was walking along the parade route with his mother when he was struck by a wheel from a utility trailer being used as a float during the parade on Sunday.
The child was taken to a hospital. But further details on his injuries and his condition were not disclosed.
Authorities say the accident remains under investigation.
