AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Austin police say a man has died following a collision between his vehicle and a Capital Metro bus.

Police said the man was pronounced dead at a hospital following the Saturday collision.

Austin Police Lt. Cara Boyd tells the Austin American-Statesman (https://atxne.ws/2eAQC31 ) that authorities responding to the collision were told the man was trapped in the vehicle.



Austin-Travis County EMS said that the man was taken out of the car and declared a trauma alert before being taken to the hospital.

EMS officials say six passengers were on the bus at the time, and one was taken to a hospital for minor injuries.
