GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Investigators say a man has been taken into custody on a weapons violation after a fatal shooting at a Greenville County gas station, but they haven’t charged him in the killing.

Deputies said in the news release the shooting happened at the Spinx gas station near Simpsonville around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities say 49-year-old James Pridmore died at the hospital a few hours later.

Deputies said they arrested a 46-year-old man at the gas station on the weapons charge. They say they are still investigating whether any charges should be filed in Pridmore’s death.
