NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - Police in North Las Vegas say a 10-year-old boy died after he fell out of a moving van.
Authorities say the accident was reported to them shortly after 8 p.m. Friday in the area of Stanley Avenue and Civic Center Drive.
Responding officers found the child in the middle of the roadway.
He was pronounced dead.
Witnesses say the boy fell out of the van as it was traveling and was struck by a vehicle.
There were other children in the van but nobody else was injured.
Police say impairment does not appear to be a factor.
The incident is under investigation.
