Virginia man turns himself in after fatal hit-and-run

CENTREVILLE, Va. (AP) - A man has turned himself in to police, two days after a fatal hit-and-run crash on Interstate Highway 66 in Fairfax County.

The Virginia State Police said 23-year-old Khoa Do Dang Nguyen, of Centreville, was charged Monday with felony hit-and-run in connection with the early Saturday morning collision.

Authorities say 37-year-old Yesenia Esmeralda Funes, of Manassas, had pulled over onto the shoulder and gotten out of her car to retrieve something from the trunk when she was hit.
