PROVO, Utah (AP) - Authorities say a woman has died after being hit by a commuter train in Provo.

Police Lt. Brandon Post says the woman had been walking in an intersection when the FrontRunner train struck her Monday morning. She died on impact.

Post says the railroad crossing arms had been down at the time of the collision.

The Utah Transit Authority reported that the train had been going no faster than 30 mph.

Authorities were still working to identify the woman Monday evening.
