Harrison Ford may well have been killed two years ago on the set of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” according to British prosecutors pursuing criminal charges against a film production company, London’s The Independent newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The actor, who played Han Solo in the movie, suffered a broken leg after being pinned to the floor by a hydraulic door.

As the BBC reported in February, the septuagenarian action-movie star veteran was airlifted to a hospital after sustaining the injury.

“It could have killed somebody. The fact that it didn’t was because an emergency stop was activated,” The Independent quoted prosecutor Andrew Marshall. The movie company, Foodles Production (UK) Ltd., “has admitted fault on two criminal charges,” said The Independent, and sentencing will take place next month.
