HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Hattiesburg is gearing up for its sixth annual Caerus Mardi Gras Parade.
The Hattiesburg American reports (https://hatne.ws/2ikQjLv ) that the 2017 edition is set to begin at 11 a.m. on Feb. 11.
Organizers say the upcoming parade will take the same 2.2-mile route as last year, lining up at the U.S. 49 Service Road near the former Conestoga Steakhouse.
The newspaper reports that the Keith’s Superstores/Magnolia Graphics float will lead the way again this year with the New Orleans Saintsations, who will be available an hour before the parade starts for autographs and pictures.
New for this year’s parade will be a temporary Mardi Gras store, where customers can purchase wholesale beads and decor.
