YARDLEY, Pa. (AP) - Police say a thief used a sledgehammer to smash the front doors of a suburban Philadelphia department store and stole watches and jewelry worth as much as $100,000.
Lower Makefield police say it happened at 3:17 a.m. Wednesday when a man in a cloth mask and dark hoodie entered the Kohl’s store and swiped diamonds, watches and other jewelry. Police say the merchandise is valued at between $60,000 and $100,000.
The thief was caught on surveillance video.
