HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say a prosecutor has decided no charges will be filed in connection with a fatal auto accident that killed two people and injured a state trooper.

State police say Prosecuting Attorney Terri Harris notified police commanders on Tuesday that no charges will be filed regarding the Oct. 10 collision on Highway 70 that killed 26-year-old Cassandra Marie Braun and Tavon Desean Jenkins - both of Hot Springs - and injured Trooper Brian Burke.

Burke remains on medical leave as a result of the injuries he suffered.

Details of the crash have not been released and state police say they will now begin an internal review to determine if the patrol car was being operated within the department’s policies and procedures.
