ABERDEEN, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a man who shot and wounded another man who was sitting in a car with a woman they both knew is now facing two counts of attempted murder.

Monmouth County prosecutors say 37-year-old Tennyson Fairclough also faces three weapons charges stemming from Thursday night’s shooting in Aberdeen. Bail was set at $1.5 million for the Old Bridge man, and it wasn’t known Monday if he has retained an attorney.

Authorities say the 32-year-old Somerset man who was shot by Fairclough and the woman he was with both fled from the car and were briefly pursued by Fairclough before he left the scene. The wounded man was treated at a hospital and was later released.Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive for the shooting.
