HICKSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) - Police on Long Island are seeking help from the public in a probe of a fiery crash in Hicksville that killed two people.

The crash of the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee occurred around 6 a.m. Saturday. Police say the vehicle lost control, struck a tree and caught fire. The victims whose identities were not immediately released were pronounced dead at the scene.

Nassau County Police detectives are asking anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. They say all callers will remain anonymous.
