METHUEN, Mass. (AP) - Fire officials are trying to determine what sparked a large apartment building fire in Massachusetts.

The blaze was reported Thursday night in Methuen (mih-THOO’-uhn).

Flames could be seen shooting from the roof.

Officials say a mayday call was issued when a firefighter fell through the third floor of the apartment building and onto the second floor. That firefighter was found a few minutes later, and is expected to be OK.

All of the residents made it out safely.

There’s no word on the extent of the damage to the building.
