Woman died at hospital after Riverside fire, authorities say

RIVERSIDE, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a woman has died after a fire at an apartment building in the Washington County community of Riverside.

Riverside firefighters battled the blaze Monday night with help from other departments, including crews from Ainsworth and Kalona.

An injured person was pronounced dead later at a hospital. Authorities identified the person as 52-year-old Tracy Williams, who lived in Kalona.

A firefighter was treated for a fall and another person was treated for injuries that weren’t suffered in the fire.

The fire cause is being investigated.
