ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia Tech officials say a student who went missing after a Friday night sorority event has been found alive and taken to a hospital.
The university said in a statement that a friend searching for 24-year-old James Hubert found him Monday morning, more than 48 hours after he went missing.
Atlanta police spokesman Warren Pickard told reporters that Hubert was found along railroad tracks east of downtown. Pickard said he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital to be evaluated for hypothermia and unspecified injuries.
Hubert was last seen late Friday night in the Howell Station neighborhood, west of the university’s campus.
Hubert is a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
